Three minutes on me and my candidacy

This year’s QATV Address…fired up!

I sat down with Joe C and Mark to discuss this year’s campaigns, communication, campaign finance, and participatory budgeting.

Here is what I’d do first if I was elected.: catch up on what is in the pipeline to help move it along and try to start a South Shore climate summit.

Here I am getting fired up about a couple of fellow candidates who got hyper-literal about a question rather than answer to the intent of the question. The same guys were ignoring the time limits too ;)

THE PLANET IS ON FIRE: Here I’m giving my opinion on embracing a stretch code (a locally mandated code or alternative compliance path that is more aggressive than base code, resulting in buildings that achieve higher energy savings.) When talking about “a reach” I am responding to Councilor McCarthy’s concern that it might be too much of a reach for building and developing.

EJ = Environmental Justice Communities “describes situations where multiple factors, including both environmental and socioeconomic stressors, may act cumulatively to affect health and the environment and contribute to persistent environmental health disparities.” I believe the whole world’s environment would be much better if we treated every neighborhood like a wealthy neighborhood.

What we are talking about here is whether or not I would support a moratorium on building in flood-prone properties and encourage the city to buy these properties when they become available.

The Quincy Dems Had a foum for each and every candidate this year.

Final QATV address of the 2019 campaign

Joe vs. Dave, Electric Vehicle topic. Since Dave didn’t want to attend last night’s candidate’s forum, I decided to put together a little video debate.

Joe had to represent ward one on his own at the QDCC forum.
